What is the e-Residency Pickup location?

Pickup location for the e-Residency kit is the official point where you can get your e-Residency kit. Generally, most Estonian embassies and consulates act as e-Residency pickup locations. However, not all diplomatic posts can act in that role. Below, you can see the list with embassies and consulates where you can receive your e-Resident pack.

During the process of applying, you will have to take the decision on choosing one of these locations. After that, this location will be your official pickup location.

e-Residency kit

The e-Resident kit consists of: e-resident ID card, USB reader and instructions for use with two PIN codes and one PUK code.

Delivery process

After the approval of your e-Residency application, you will receive an email with confirmation. Your e-Resident kit will reach your Pickup location from 2 to 5 weeks.

When the kit will reach the Pickup location, you will be notified through the email with instructions on how to obtain it. It is recommended checking all your mailboxes, including the spam box, to make it sure you will find the email.

After this, call or email the embassy or consulate to schedule your visit.

You have up to 6 months to make the appointment and get your e-Resident kit.

What you should know too

To pick up your e-Residency kit you are required to obtain it in person. You need to identify yourself to the embassy staff. To do that you will need an official document, e.g., your ID card, passport. Only you can pick it up. It can’t be delivered to your representative, family member or another person.

It is not possible to send the e-Resident kit by post.

COVID-19 update

Due to travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Estonia allows you to extend delivery of your e-Residency kit beyond 6 months. To do this, you should contact with your Pickup location, explain your situation and then they will extend this period.

You are also able to change the official Pickup location to another location. To do that, you need to contact the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
